The opening weekend of 9 to 5 The Musical kicks off a new season at TCT with, not only a new show, but a new dining experience from our friends at Engroff’s Catering. Head chef, Joel Lewis and his team have selected dishes for each production that feature familiar flavors, like the Original TCT Signature Salad, and show-stopping debuts including the Head Chef’s favorite pick of Prime Rib that will be part of the 9 to 5 The Musical dinner menu. The fare will be prepared using new equipment, a gift from Engroff’s to TCT, that will equal a fully fresh experience. “The new steamer alone will make a world of difference in the quality of the food – the veggies especially.”
Long-time patrons may recognize some Engroff’s faces as you join us for dinner or brunch during your live theatre entertainment experience. “I’m most looking forward to seeing who is still there and getting to reconnect with everyone at the theatre,” says Chef Joe Myers as he remembers past partnerships with TCT, “We feel at home at the theatre and being back in the new kitchen is just an upgrade to what we already know.”
Chef Tobias Moore will be stepping out of the Engroff kitchen and into TCT’s for the first time. “I enjoy opportunities to broaden my horizons and meet new people. I’m excited.” Chef Moore’s passion and hobbies are one in the same, He spends his free time visiting restaurants and bars to stay on top of food and pairing trends. When it comes to hobbies Chef Moore says, “It’s still food. I like to see what’s out there and try new things.”
For Head Chef Joel Lewis, bringing an exceptional dining experience to others is top of mind. There is one thing he loves more – hanging out with his kids and enjoying family time. You’ll find one of his family favorite Engroff’s dishes headlining the It’s a Wonderful Life dinner menu: Honey Pecan Chicken which is a delectable take on a classic. It’s also the dish TCT President & CEO, Vickie Brokke is most looking forward to this season. During our Season Member tasting this past spring, Chef Lewis shared his passion for being creative in the kitchen while ensuring his guests enjoy each bite. We are thankful for their dedication to their art and are thrilled to be partnering with each of these talented chefs and Engroff’s Catering while you enjoy the performing arts experience at our theatre.
