Topeka Public Safety Team Scholarships

 

The Topeka Public Safety Team Scholarship is administered by Topeka Civic Theatre & Academy for the summer camp youth theatre program. The primary goal of this scholarship is to ensure that the theatre camp is accessible to all, regardless of financial constraints. It is available to those student who meet the financial guidelines as described on the application.  Applicants must be within the age range of TCT’s three-week camps: entering second (2nd) through twelfth (12th) grade for the upcoming school year.

      TCT Academy Scholarships

      A limited number of Academy Scholarships are available thanks to the generosity of TCT donors.
      The maximum amount of an Academy scholarship award is 40% of the full tuition cost.

        HHT Summer Camp Scholarships

        Helen Hocker Theater, in cooperation with Shawnee County Parks and Recreation, is proud to offer scholarships to provide opportunities for youth participation in our programs. A youth scholarship program has been designed to assist those who meet the financial guidelines set forth by SCP+R. Submit the application below for participants who are 17 years of age or younger and live within Shawnee County. Completed applications must be submitted prior to enrolling or registering for the program.

          TCT Summer Camp Scholarships

          DALE EASTON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
          &
          CINDY “MAMA POPPY” HERMES SCHOLARSHIP

           

          Topeka Civic Theatre is proud to offer the Dale Easton Memorial Scholarship and Cindy “Mama Poppy” Hermes Scholarship. The intent of the donors to these funds is to provide Topeka Civic Theatre’s Academy students a learning opportunities in the area of live theatre which will cultivate new generations of artistic talents. These merit-based scholarships are designated for a full tuition scholarship for one three-week summer camp session at TCT per year. Applicants must be within the age range of TCT’s three-week camps: entering second (2nd) through twelfth (12th) grade for the upcoming school year.

            SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

            All applicants must provide the following:

            1. A student-written 50 -100 word essay explaining why he/she/they should be awarded a full tuition scholarship and how live theatre will have a positive impact on his/her/their future.
            2. Two letters of reference from someone not related to the applicant that must include: reference’s full name, relationship to applicant, preferred phone number and email address of the reference.
            3. Must include applicants preferred phone number and email address.
                  The deadline for submitting an application is Monday, May 20 at 5:00pm.

             About our scholarship programs

            Topeka Civic Theatre & Academy and Helen Hocker Theater are proud to offer scholarships for the summer youth theatre programs. Each scholarship requires a separate application per location per child. For example, if you would like to apply for scholarships for Helen Hocker Theater, you must use one HHT scholarship application form per child and submit it to the HHT Box Office. If your child would like to attend a TCT summer camp session, you must use one TCT scholarship application form per child and submit it to the TCT Box Office. There are two merit-based scholarships that have additional requirements and two income-based scholarship opportunities. For questions, contact the Box Office or Education Director for your camp location.

             Flexible payment options

            A deposit is required to take advantage of the flexible payment options. You can select the deposit option during checkout when enrolling online or by calling the Box Office for your camp location. The selected camp must be paid in full two weeks before the session begins.
